چکیده

The low production of eggplant plants in Indonesia is due to the fact that business these less intensive and still traditional without cultivation, especially use fertilizers so it can support growth yield plants. Increasing yields also be done by means fertilization using right dose. main function fertilizer provide or add nutrients which are sometimes available small quantities, even not at all soil. Organic chicken manure inorganic phosphate contain various types substances needed For this reason, necessary find appropriate dose used obtain optimal Research Objectives To determine on (Solanum malongena L). effect doses best interaction between experimental design study was a factorial randomized block (RBD) consisting two treatment factors, namely: Factor I: Dosage (A) consisted 3 levels, A0= Kontrol, A1= 4 kg/plot (6 ton/ha), A2 = 6 (8 ton/ha). II: P0= P1= 4,5 g/plot, P2= 9,0 g/plo, P3= 13,5 g/plot. results showed dosage significantly different for plant height, number primary branches, sample planting fruit, per plot. kg/plot). Phosphate crop NPK P3 (13.5 g/plot). cow plot.

Agrobacterium Mediated Genetic Transformation of Eggplant (Solanum Melongena L.)

An efficient variety-independent method for producing transgenic eggplants (Solanum melongena L.) via Agrobacterium tumefaciens-mediated genetic transformation was developed. Two weeks old cotyledon explants were transformed by co-cultivation with Agrobacterium tumefaciens strain LBA4404 harboring a binary vector pVDH65 carrying the reporter gene β-glucuronidase intron (GUS-INT) and the marker ...

GENETIC DIVERGENCE ANALYSIS IN EGGPLANT ( Solanum melongena L . )

Genetic divergence among 19 eggplant genotypes was estimated using Mahalanobis’s D statistic. Altogether five clusters were formed. Cluster I contained the highest number of genotypes (7) and cluster IV and V contained the lowest (2). The pattern of distribution of genotypes from different geographical locations into five clusters was random, demonstrating that geographical isolation may not be...

PLANT REGENERATION IN EGGPLANT (Solanum melongena L.) A REVIEW

Eggplant is highly responsive to various tissue culture techniques. Somatic embryogenesis and direct organogenesis are widely studied protocols in this crop, but potential of regeneration varies with genotype, explant and culture media supplemented with different combination and concentration of growth hormones. The genotype is the most important factor affecting somatic embryogenesis and organ...

The WRKY Transcription Factor Genes in Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) and Turkey Berry (Solanum torvum Sw.)

WRKY transcription factors, which play critical roles in stress responses, have not been characterized in eggplant or its wild relative, turkey berry. The recent availability of RNA-sequencing data provides the opportunity to examine WRKY genes from a global perspective. We identified 50 and 62 WRKY genes in eggplant (SmelWRKYs) and turkey berry (StorWRKYs), respectively, all of which could be ...

Growth and physiological changes in continuously cropped eggplant (Solanum melongena L.) upon relay intercropping with garlic (Allium sativum L.)

Relay intercropping represents an alternative for sustainable production of vegetables, but the changes of internally antioxidant defense combined with the growth and yield are not clear. Field experiment was carried out to investigate the malondialdehyde (MDA) content and activity levels of superoxide dismutase (SOD), peroxidase (POD), polyphenol oxidase (PPO), and phenylalanine ammonia-lyase ...
